We proudly announce that our German-South African coproduction “Nelson Mandela: the myth & me” will have its African premiere at the Durban International Film Festival. The IDFA-awarded documentary will be screened at the Elizebeth Sneddon Theatre on July 18 at 7:30 pm, in the presence of the filmmaker. Further screenings will take place on July 20 and 27 in different locations. Director Khalo Matabane asks global thinkers, Apartheid-victims and Mandela’s entourage to classify Nelson Mandela’s achievements, thereby providing a multi-facetted approach to his myth. The Durban International Film Festival is an annual event in South Africa showing over 300 South-African, African and international productions.
