Due to his distinctive style Ulrich Seidl is among the most discussed film auteurs of the last years. Always walking a fine line between documentary and fiction, his films  bring to light the abysmal aspects of Austrian lower middle class life and provoke with a degree of reality that goes to the limits of endurance.
The first film portrait of the Austrian filmmaker accompanies him during the work on his new film “In the Basement” and on his theatrical production “Böse Buben” at Münchner Kammerspiele, offering revealing insights in the much-discussed “Seidl method”.
On October 5th at 11am the co-production of Navigatorfilm, Dschoint Ventschr and ZDF/arte will be screened for the very first time at Zurich Film Festival!
