Finally, the date for the US cinema release of Tristan Ferland Milewski’s documentary DREAM BOAT is set. The film will have its theatrical release on November 3rd at the renowned Quad Cinema in Manhattan, more cities to follow. Until then, DREAM BOAT will be screened at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival, the Reeling in Chicago, Southwest Gay & Lesbian Film Fest and Newfest LGBT Film Festival in New York.
Once a year the DREAM BOAT sets sail for a cruise only for gay men. Far from their families and political restrictions, we follow five men from five countries on the quest for their dreams. The cruise promises seven days of sunshine, love, and freedom – but on board are also their personal stories, their doubts and uncertainties…

MALI BLUES tells the story of four musicians from the West African country of Mali, who espouse with their music a tolerant Islam and a country at peace – Fatoumata Diawara, Bassekou Kouyaté, Ahmed Ag Kaedi and Master Soumy.

Our cinema documentary MALI BLUES by Lutz Gregor wins the prize “Norbert Daldrop Fund for art and culture” at the German Documentary Film Festival.
Our web project #uploading_holocaust was today honored as one of Germany’s 100 most innovative projects in the contest “Landmarks in the Land of Ideas 2017”. The jury has selected the project among more than 1,000 submissions.
#uploading_holocaust was realized in co-production with udiVsagi production, BR, and rbb, funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Nationalfonds Österreich, Zukunftsfonds Österreich, and Bayerische Landeszentrale für politische Bildung.

Our German-New Zealand-Chinese co-production THE COLORS OF CHINA will be officially announced during the CHINA CO-PRODUCTION DAY at 12.00 pm on 19th May at Gray d’Albion Beach, Espace CNC, Cannes. Christian Beetz (CEO at Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion), James Heyward (CEO at Making Movies) will be joined on Skype by Mr. Jing (CEO at CICC) and supervising producer Weina Kong from Beijing.
The event is organised by Bridging the Dragon and Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes in partnership with CNC.
