We are happy to announce that our investigative documentary film about the shadow industry of global content moderation has been nominated for both PRIX EUROPA and the JAPAN PRIZE. Additionally, THE CLEANERS was recently honored with the Raven Award for the Best Feature Film at DOCUTAH Film Festival in St. George, Utah.

Director Alice Agneskirchner and Producer Kerstin Meyer-Beetz present “An Apartment in Berlin” today, 29th January, at the 16th Kölner Dokumentarfilmfestival. In the context of so called “Werkstattgespräche” the film will be shown and they give information about the documentary and it’s production. The event starts at 7 p.m. in the assembly hall of “Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln”. On Thrusday, 30th January the same takes place in Bochum, 7 p.m. at Kino Endstation. “An Apartment in Berlin” is about three young Israeli facing their common German-Jewish past – together in Berlin.

Born Free Media and gebrueder beetz fimproduction celebrate and congratulate Khalo Matabane on scooping the prestigious Special Jury Award for “A Letter to Nelson Mandela” at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), the pre-eminent festival for creative documentaries. The director asks global thinkers, Apartheid-victims and Mandela’s entourage to classify Nelson Mandela’s achievements, thereby providing a multi-facetted approach to his myth.

The presentation starts Saturday, 23rd November 2013 at 4:30 pm. The congress of music and sound in films, games and media takes place from 21st to 23rd November 2013.
Jan Tenhaven’s award-winning documentary “Autumn Gold” will be screened on WDR tonight at 11:15 pm. The film tells the story of five athletes as they prepare for the Track and Field World Championships. Their toughest challenge is their age: These potential world champions are between 80 and 100 years old.
The 10th Berliner Comic-Messe will take place this Sunday, on November 17th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Ellington Hotel in Berlin. Together with author Andreas Völlinger and illustrator Flavia Scuderi we´re presenting our graphic novel „The Wagner Files“. The graphic novel is published in cooperation with Knesebeck Verlag and available in stores and online since June. Right now we´re running a competition on Facebook, where we give away a „WAGNER Graphic Novel“, signed by Andreas Völlinger and Flavia Scuderi. We are happy that the idea for our kids series was selected by the jury of the producer’s initiative “Fernsehen aus Thüringen” and will be granted Euro 15,000 for further development. It is one of five projects that plan to be realized in the Free State ofThuringia. In the series (13x24min) the 12 year old Torbjörn finds out with the help of a magic amulet and his tablet that his mother is trapped in the past. With Thora, a clever Viking girl, he tries to saves his mother and has to prove his wit and braveness.
