On Thursday, 18th of September, “Berlin Stories – Books of a City” will have its world premiere in Haus der Berliner Festspiele. The film will be screened at 9 p.m. as part of the Berlin International Literature Festival.

The event is open to all and  admission is free!

“Berlin Stories” looks upon Berlin from literature’s perspective:  from classics as Alfred Döblin’s “Berlin Alexanderplatz” and Ulrich Plenzdorf’s „Legende vom Glück ohne Ende“ to Sven Regener’s cult book „Herr Lehmann“, and to „Berlin liegt im Osten“, which was written by German-Russian author Nellja Veremej and published last year. The result is a character study of the capital based on the stories that were and are written there.
